Sleep with two pillows so the air flows easily in and out.
Blow your nose before bed.
You can also buy nose strips to help with breathing.
Sleep on your back.
Hope this helps ;)

I didn't have the surgery, but an old boss did and it took about 3-4 months before his face looked normal again. He said it hurt, but he was given something for the pain and it was only painful the first week.

A very simple solution you can try is the following:
When you are awakened by his snoring, simply match his snoring and the rhythm of his snoring, and then when both of you are "in sync" with his snoring, then slowly quiet your snoring, and if you do this right, his snoring will follow your snoring until you will stop snoring and go back to sleep.
Another easy solution is the following:
Simply when he is snoring, whisper into his ear "you are snoring; stop snoring." Make sure not to make it so loud that he will awake from his sleep, but audible and gentle enough for his mind to hear the message. The message will get through to him, yet he will not be conscious of hearing it, and if it works, he should stop snoring.
Although snoring can be classified as a physiological problem, it is a result of a psychological problem, which can be caused by many factors (which I will not get into.)
Let me know how it works.

Hello. I had the uvula and excess soft palate tissue that had developed from frequent sinus infections removed to stop snoring and sleep apnea. My doctor told me it had only a 50/50 chance of stopping the sleep apnea. Fortunately, I landed in the good 50%, and no longer have a problem with sleep apnea. My husband says there's still a bit of what he would call snoring, but it's actually more a little sinus noise. With the uvula gone, there's nothing in the back of the throat to vibrate and make the loud noise usually associated with snoring.
Other than being in pain and not being able to talk very well, I was only incapacitated for about two days. However, I also had a deviated septum repair at the same time. Having both nose and throat surgery meant that I was in more pain and incapacitated longer.
All in all, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. It's been very good for my health.
Good luck!

If your snoring is really loud and disruptive, chances are good that you have a condition called sleep apnea, which MUST be taken seriously. Untreated sleep apnea not only stresses both the snorer and everyone else in the house who can't get a good night's sleep, it can also lead to heart malfunction and death!
Apnea is easily treated with the use of a night-breathing aid called a CPAP. You must see a sleep doctor before you can get one, as they have to be individually adjusted, but most insurance covers the cost. CPAP eliminates snoring 100% and keeps your heart from being damaged. Surgery is very rarely used to treat apnea, as the success rate is not that good.
Please ask your doctor to refer you to a sleep doctor or sleep clinic ASAP. These facilities often have a long waiting list, and procrastinating can really damage your health. Do it today.

It sounds like you are not getting the full sleep cycle needed to remain healthy or even Sane. My advice is to visit a sleep clinic where they monitor you while you sleep. snoring and sleep apnea (when you stop breathing while sleeping) can be serious. I encourage you to see your doctor and discuss your options. Good luck...Imma

Separate bedrooms. You'd be surprised how many people sleep in different rooms due to snoring. Most people can't stop nor control it, so when it's time to sleep, they go to different rooms.

my dad also snore at the night, you can tell her that adjust her sleeping posture.Or let she do some relaxed exercise. the person who snores means she or he very tired in the daytime.
Answer by baseball_is_my_life
When a person who snores rolls over on to their side, the snoring is greatly reduced because the pressure on their throats is lessened. There are also nasal strips out there that claim to expand the airways in your nostrils.
