What do you think? Answer below!
Has he gained weight, started drinking more or started smoking?? Those all contribute to snoring.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that snorers often don't snore when they are sleeping on their sides. I even heard or read about a wife who sewed a golf ball or tennis ball in a sock to the back of her husband's pajamas. Every time he would roll on his back he would feel the ball and roll back onto his side.
ReplyDeleteSnoring can also be a symptom of another problem, like sleep apnea. Maybe he should see a doctor.
Place a pillow firmly over his head, and press and hold it using your entire body weight. Continue until his snoring, breathing, and motions cease.
ReplyDeleteIt happens when a person lies on their back mostly and the tongue blocks their airhole making them snort air up through they're mouth and nose. So like everyone else said, position him different before sleep.
ReplyDeleteYour husband may have sleep apnea. When we go to sleep, our muscles relax. The muscles in your throat also relax, closing the airway. I would recommend him talking to his doctor about this. A sleep test may be ordered and taken. Once this sleep test is done, they will know if he has sleep apnea or not. If he does, there are certain treatments for that. This will make him stop snoring guaranteed. Take if from a former snorer who has sleep apnea!
ReplyDeleteHave him sleep with his head in a more elevated position. In other words, put more pillows under his head.
ReplyDeleteIf this doesn't work, losing weight and exercising will usually help someone who snores.
