  1. You can't. It is a beautiful part of the bully breeds.

  3. Nope. Bulldogs snore. It's part of their charm.

  4. Nope that is just one of the many things a bulldog does.

I'd suggest investing in some earplugs for yourself and doing more research on the breed next time if the snoring is something that really bothers you.

Bullies snore, theres nothing you can do about that. even with palate surgery they will still snore. Just get used to it and learn to love it.

  6. LOL that's is the joy of owning a bull dog. When the Rotties try to wake the dead I snap my fingers and call their name so that they will stir a little, which at times, gives be time to get to sleep

  7. Snoring and snorting in general are part of the bulldog package.

  8. Bulldogs have been bred to be non-functional snore machines...get used to it O_O

GSD's are soon to follow *sigh*

  9. All dogs with short snouts snore because of the fact their trachea's have sharp bends in them a condition known as brachial cephalic. Unavoidable. They also fart more too.

  10. The Bulldog is considered one of the Brachycephalic breeds, dogs that have shorter muzzles and narrow nostrils. Pugs and Boston Terriers are two others. This breed is prone to snoring and may also have difficulty breathing when it's very hot or humid. I highly doubt there is much you can do about the snoring.

  11. They usually snore because of their short muzzles. You can try to help by making sure he isn't too hot, sometimes overheating can make it worse. Unless it's affecting him health wise, you can't really do much. You can read more at :http://www.terrificpets.com/articles/10240165.asp

Sumtimes I walk in the living room thinking that someone is asleep on the couch...and when I turn to look, IT MY DOG! SNORING AWAY~! lol

I guess we just have to live with it...=(

  13. oh, yeah, we have a dog that snores, and sorry, but ya can't do anything 'bout it. we don't have a pit-bull, (it's a Great Pyrenees, by the way) but i know how ya feel. it's like: boy, can someone hand me the earplugs? i'm kinda trying to sleep here! ;)

  14. You could put it to sleep. Other than that (and I honestly wouldn't recommend that anyway) there really isn't anything you can do. Bulldogs snore because they have a shortened muzzle (and frequently narrow airways in addition to that) and an elongated soft palate. It's part of their anatomy and there is no way to change that. If your bulldog is overweight, getting him down to a healthy weight will reduce the amount of snoring, but he will still snore until the day he dies.
