My boyfriend snores so loudly that I cannot sleep through the night. He doesnt want to use the nose strips that are supposed to open things up. Are there any pills/sprays that actaully work?

Tell him to sleep in another room, j/k. Try rolling him over when he starts snoring, I read online that snores are caused by a person having the incorrect posture and bending the air ways, so try to straighten him out or at least his neck to where his air ways are straight.

  1. There is no spray etc to really correct snoring. You snore for 2 main reasons. Nasal congestion such as a cold etc. That would mean he only snores occasionally. And then there is Sleep Apnea. The snoring is actually the person struggling to breathe. Getting a sleep study to confrm sleep apnea and then being set up on a CPAP machine will make both your lives so much better. Trust me!

  2. when i was 4 i had that problem i had to under go the knife .snoring is caused when ur tonsils or somthing else rattles in the middle of the neck(were men have there lumps)this is how the surgery goes. so the cut a bit of ur tonsils and then thats the end of the surgery, it might sound really simple but really it takes longer than u think it take from 45min. -1hr hard to beleive but it is true

  3. Yes there is a spray that really works I tried it and turned my Dad onto it. It is called SNORE STOP one application is a spray for the nose and one for the throat. They work by shrinking the soft tissue and the mucus membranes. If he carries weight around his neck, you may need a sleep study done. Do you notice him kinda gasping or holding his breath while sleeping? If so you do need to see a doctor for sleep apnea. In the meantime a second pillow under him will help to open the airway... Kinda in a sniffing position. Good luck. His headaches that he probably has in the morning will go away too!

  4. I suggest the use of a humidfier in your bedroom at night.
Try using saline nasal spray at bedtime and as needed. It helps to elevate the head and shoulders and not lie flat.
