  1. You need to visit your doctor for that matter, breathing trough your nose is important for many reasons.

snoring could be solved by using medicine but best of all is to visit a doctor and ask fr recommendations

  2. Your body is designed with nose breathing in mind. Your nasal passageways filter out dust, pollen and other particulates that are better off in boogers than in your throat and lungs, they moisturize dry air, warm cold air and your immune system samples pathogens and allergens there. If you're breathing exclusively through your mouth that's not really normal.

About snoring, if your nasal passages are blocked that will definitely promote snoring. You don't have to be fat to have sleep apnea either. It sounds like you should consult with an ENT and maybe consider arranging a sleep study.

  4. I have the same problem during allergy season. The nasal strips help to keep both sides open of your nose.

As to the snoring, start a journal to document when you snore. Also include if you are told you stop breathing, gasp alot, awake to headaches, pee more that twice a night, thrash legs and fall asleep at inappropriate places (like cars , class). If this shows so many occurrences that you remain sleepy; get assessed for a sleep disorder. You can take the journal with you

Sometimes the dental appliance will help you to stop snoring
