By being a healthy weight, getting their adenoids checked out (enlarged ones can cause snoring), I've also heard that those breathe-right strips that a previous answerer mentioned works for some people. Or else you might just have to accept that you snore.
Yes, nose strips can stop this. That's the simple answer. If a person snores they can have a breathing related problem. One is sinus problems, another is apnea. I suggest you speak to your doc and tell him about this. Apnea is dangerous in that it can change heart patterns and decrease oxgyen to the brain. Sinus problems are not good either since they damage the linings of the nose... So either way, tell your doc.

The nasal strips often don;t work because most snoring comes from the throat and not from the nasal passages.
