Question by : How do you get someone to stop snoring? someone is sleepin over at my house and they are snoring like crazy. I can't even think right. how do I get them to stop?
your best bet will be to sleep in a different room! i hate snoring too it drives me INSANE but yeah theres not an easy way to stop it besides waking them up...i guess you could make a bunch of noise and wake them up by "accident" then hurry back asleep before they do...lol
one way to stop there snoring is to go to ur local pharmact like cvs walgreens and they sell mouth guard like guards that move there mouth so that it stops the cause of snoring if u need immdiate help then make ethem change the way there sleeping so there mout isnt open make them sit up more
ok.. you have to see the side he/ she is sleeping ... if she is with the mouth up just turn her around, like watching the night table... changing position will help..
the best way is to buy one of the many snoring fixes out there, for now just throw a pillow over them and once they change position it should stop. just try to fall asleep before they do
I hope it is going to be a short visit because you appear to have invited them in.
Unless they share your bedroom, in which case it would be quite appropriate to gently shove them until they wake up, and tell them they awoke you with their snoring. Most snorers will be able to get right back to sleep. I hope you can.
Be forewarned though - they often deny that they were snoring. Let it be - they probably won't remember the conversation at all in the morning.
1. A number of people snore in certain positions only (mostly on their back) and nudging them and asking them to sleep on their side can often solve the problem.
2. If you do not want to get involved then using foam ear plugs will block out all the noise and you can sleep easily. The good thing about these foam ear plugs is that they are very affordable and you can use them also for when you need to work or study and there is a disturbance around. My article "Snore Calm Foam Ear Plugs REVIEW" here http://sleepdisorders.dolyan.com/snoring/anti-snore-solutions/snore-calm-foam-ear-plugs-review talks about a number of them and there is a picture and a video so you can see how they work.
3. If it is someone close to you or someone you are close enough with, you can try to help them solve their snoring problem for real. This will involve you observing them a little bit and understanding if they are snoring in specific positions and also if their snoring is coming from their nose or their mouth / throat. Knowing these 2 things is already a lot and you can then pinpoint the treatments in my article called "Snore cures" here http://sleepdisorders.dolyan.com/snoring/snore-cures where the top part is all the cures for snoring which are completely free and you can do yourself and the bottom parts are what different companies offer to people in which cases.
