me my mom and brother are stuck in our hotel room trying to sleep and my dad won't stop snoring! it's so loud and obnoxious and when we yell at him to stop or nudge him he'll stop but he starts back up again after a minute...is there anything we can do to make him stop?! please help!

Try to role his a$ $ over so he is not looking at the ceiling -- so put him on his belly. Do you have ear plugs? Call the front desk -- they usually have those for free. Also, take video.
ReplyDeleteWell I meen you maybe should talk to him because my dad snored a lot. We realized that it was kinda really bad so he went to a clinic to check out. They made him spent a night at the hospital to realize that he stopped breathing while he slept. Sometimes, he's stop for a complete 5 minutes and they didnt know how he made it through. They said that he could have a heart attack any time so he sleeps with a machine that helps him breath. He's ok now but i think that your best chance would be to go to the clinic. ;)
ReplyDeleteHe may have sleep apnea which means he needs to get a sleep study. Snoring is caused by a partial obstruction of the airway which is due to the tongue falling back and partially blocking it. They also tend to stop breathing as well and so the study will determine this. And the way to correct this is with use of a CPAP machine. CPAP is a mask that goes over the mouth and nose or just the nose that gives pressure into the airway that helps prevent sleep apnea. It helps the pt sleep better as well as the rest of the family. I hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteYou could get another room. Despite the expense, it might be worth it. Would tell him he has a real problem. You should also record it so he has proof. He will undoubtedly tell you that you are all wimps so stop that thought from his head right now..
